GUIDELINES ON THE HOSPITAL ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR INPATIENTS AT AIH

GUIDELINES ON THE HOSPITAL ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR INPATIENTS AT AIH

1. Hospital Admission Registration:

Upon being prescribed inpatient treatment, our physicians and customer service staff will clarify all relevant matters and assist you in selecting a hospital room as well as completing the required deposit for admission. Room charges shall be applied from the time of admission until the time of discharge.

2. Hospital Admission Procedures:

Please bring and present the following documents to complete the hospital admission procedures:

  • National ID Card / Passport; Birth Certificate (for children).

  • Private Insurance Card (mandatory within 24 hours from the time of admission, if applicable).

  • State Health Insurance Card (if you wish to apply for a social insurance sick leave certificate).

  • Household Registration Book (photocopy) of the mother (in case of childbirth).

  • Other privilege/benefit cards (if any).

  • Other medical records as required by the physician (laboratory results, imaging reports, prescriptions, etc.).

Upon your agreement to utilize the medical services, you are kindly requested to make a deposit of the hospital fees at the Cashier’s Counter before admission.

  • For surgical services, a deposit equivalent to 110% of the surgical/procedural service fees is required.

  • For inpatient treatment services, a deposit equivalent to 110% of the estimated costs, as determined by the physician prior to admission and in accordance with hospital regulations, is required.

3. Inpatient Admission Time:

  • Admission is available 24/7 as prescribed by the attending physician.

  • Room occupancy is calculated from 12:00 pm; any stay beyond this period shall be subject to additional charges based on the actual length of hospitalization.

  • Should you require any assistance or further guidance, please contact the Reception Desk located in the main lobby.

4. During the Period of Hospitalization at AIH:

  • During your hospital stay, an identification wristband will be placed on your wrist, containing the following details: Full Name, Date of Birth, and Patient ID Number.

  • Before any examination, medical intervention, surgery, or procedure, your identity shall be verified with at least two identifiers: (1) Full Name and (2) Date of Birth, so as to minimize potential errors.

In our commitment to making your hospital stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible, our team of doctors and nurses will provide dedicated care and stand ready to support you in any circumstance.

  • Patients may use the ‘Call Bell’ button located at the head of the bed to establish two-way communication with the nursing staff.

  • For assistance in the restroom, please pull the ‘Call Bell’ cord to request nursing support.

► Complimentary Items Provided During Hospitalization:

  • Patient uniforms are provided in accordance with hospital regulations.

  • Bed linens will be changed daily.

  • All in-room amenities — including towels, shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, in-room slippers, hangers, etc. — are available throughout your stay.

  • Drinking water is supplied regularly. Should you require additional hot water, please contact the Housekeeping staff or Nursing staff for assistance.

► Nutritional Care for Inpatients:

At American International Hospital (AIH), our doctors and nutritionists will monitor and provide guidance on your healthcare plan, ensuring a balanced diet that includes three main meals and two supplementary meals per day.

► Inpatient Charges:

Hospitalization fees are calculated from the time of admission until the time of discharge.

One (01) day of hospitalization is defined as a 24-hour period, from 12:00 noon of the previous day to 12:00 noon of the following day.

► Medical Expenses for Inpatient Treatment:

Beyond the initial deposit, any incurred expenses will be duly notified, and additional deposits shall be required should the actual hospitalization costs exceed the deposited amount. Patients or their family members are kindly requested to settle such payments at the Cashier’s Counter located on the first floor of the hospital.
