At American International Hospital (AIH), we continuously expand our network of insurance service providers to better support our patients in settling medical examination and treatment expenses in the most convenient and efficient way. Learn more about the insurance policies available at AIH.

DIRECT BILLING SERVICE POLICY

American International Hospital (AIH) has established direct billing agreements with many major insurance companies, both locally and internationally. For detailed information, please click here.

  • To use your direct billing benefits: Before your consultation, please present your insurance card, along with your ID card/Citizen ID/Passport or Birth Certificate (for children) at the registration counter.

  • If there are any changes to your insurance information or personal details (e.g. ID number), please inform us promptly so we can update your records and continue to assist you effectively.

For insurance companies that offer direct billing services at AIH:

- For Outpatient Treatment:

Based on the insurance information provided (including the name of the insurance provider, policy number, and type of coverage), AIH will contact the insurance company to verify benefits and request direct billing approval (if outpatient coverage is included). Insurance providers typically respond within 30 minutes.

  • Before leaving the hospital, please review and sign all documents and invoices as guided by AIH staff.

  • Patients are required to pay for any expenses not covered under the direct billing agreement.

- For Inpatient Treatment:

  • AIH will contact your insurance company to request direct billing approval.

  • Typically, insurance companies will send the guarantee confirmation within 24 to 48 business hours after receiving all the required documents.

  • You will be asked to place a deposit equivalent to the estimated treatment costs before admission or procedures if AIH has not yet received the guarantee confirmation from your insurer. This deposit will be refunded upon your discharge once the guarantee confirmation is received.

  • Please review and sign all documents and invoices as instructed by AIH before leaving the hospital.

  • You will be responsible for paying any deductibles or co-payments.

For insurance companies that do not offer direct billing services at AIH:

After the consultation:

  • You will be required to pay the full cost of treatment.

  • AIH will provide the necessary documents and medical records for you to submit a reimbursement claim to your insurance company.
