At American International Hospital (AIH), we continuously expand our network of insurance service providers to better support our patients in settling medical examination and treatment expenses in the most convenient and efficient way. Learn more about insurance policies available at AIH.

DIRECT BILLING PROCEDURE

To provide the best support for our patients in utilizing their health insurance, American International Hospital (AIH) partners with both domestic and international insurance companies to offer direct billing services for medical expenses incurred at our hospital.

The direct billing procedure at AIH is as follows:

Important Notes:

  • Estimated Approval Time for Direct Billing:

- Outpatient services: Within 30 minutes after the medical examination is completed and the doctor has issued a medical report.

- Inpatient and Emergency services: Within 24 to 48 hours from the time the patient receives an admission order.

  • Deposit Policy: For inpatient admissions and emergency cases, patients are required to place a 100% deposit of the estimated hospital fees. AIH will then contact the insurance company to request a guarantee of payment. Once the guarantee is received, the hospital will refund the deposit in accordance with AIH’s policy.

  • In cases where your insurance provider does not have a direct billing agreement with AIH, or if the insurer requires you to pay in advance and submit a reimbursement claim later, AIH will provide all necessary documents to support your claim.
